Just Married!

Yes, folks, I just got married!  To my soulmate, Andre, who I met in this very same studio while building a 12-foot metal robot for the Wheaton Arts Parade two summers ago!

We even had our reception here at the Sandy Spring Museum, and my wedding flowers are drying on the 200-year-old wooden ladder that is part of the barn where the studio was built!

So, I'm excited about that, but still excited about finishing my second year teaching here as a resident artist for the Sandy Spring Museum, and looking back and all the wonderful folks I met in the three-hour, one-day, weekend and five-week classes!

My students are the best, they come from MD, DC, VA and sometimes PA ... and sometimes from much farther when they are visiting friends and family in the area.  The farthest a student has come to take one of my classes was Hawaii!  We are hoping to schedule a class there so I can visit her and teach in one of the most beautiful places on earth!

In the meantime, classes have started up again (we are taking our honeymoon after the New Year), and I invite you to check out the website for classes on metalsmithing, jewelry-making, fabrication, riveting, rings, hammered cuffs, bezel-setting, Keum-boo, and much more!

If you are looking for a class on a specific skill, and don't see one, just ping me and we can work something out!
